Mutta Appam - Bull's-eye Appam




Eggs are always our all time favorite food. With the word ‘Our’ I meant the non-vegetarians as a whole. I apologize if I hurt the vegetarian friends of mine.
So talking about eggs, I always feel that this is the only food item that can be cooked within seconds, and most mothers love to give their kids with this quick and healthy food every day. A variety of methods can be used to include eggs in our day to day diet. You can either bake a cake, make a pancake or if you have the Appam batter, you can try out ‘Mutta Appam’.
Mutta Appam is a common breakfast delicacy mostly made in every household in Kerala. That doesn’t matter; anyone can try out if you know the right method of preparing the Appam batter and the method of making a Mutta Appam or an Egg Appam. So now that you know the method of preparing the batter for Appam, I am glad to tell you the method of making Mutta Appam.

Ingredients


·         Appam batter
·         Eggs

Method


·         Heat an Appa Chatti or a round bottomed non stick pan
·         Pour a large spoon full of Appam batter to the heated pan
·         Swirl the batter to spread the appam batter
·         Now crack open an egg into the swirled appam
·         Close the lid of the pan and allow it to cook for 5 min
·         Open lid and remove from pan after 5 min
·         Serve hot with vegetable stew or mutton stew
