Method Of Preparation
Pork and Tapioca is a combination
which is an all time favorite of any Keralite. When you mix both together, you
get the perfect combination just right for your dinner or lunch. Since this is
a heavy dish, you need not accompany Pork and Tapioca mix with anything else.
Ingredients
·
Tapioca-
1 Kg
·
Pork
– 1 kg
·
Onions-
2
·
Green
chilly- 2
·
Red
Chilly powder- 1 ½ tsp
·
Coriander
powder – 3 tsp
·
Turmeric
– ¼ tsp
·
Garam
masala-1 tsp
·
Ginger
Garlic Paste- ½ tsp
·
Curry
leaves
·
Water
·
Oil
Method
Step 1
·
Take
a large vessel and add sumptuous amount of water
·
Switch
on flame and let the water boil
·
Add
salt to the water
·
Add
pieces of raw tapioca to the boiling water and cook it
·
When
the tapioca is ready, strain off the water and keep it aside
Step 2
·
Heat
a pressure cooker
·
Add
oil
·
Add
finely chopped onions and green chilies and sauté well
·
Let
the onions turn golden brown
·
Now
add ginger garlic paste and sauté well
·
You
may add the chilly powder, turmeric powder, garam masala and coriander powder.
·
Sauté
well
·
Now
it is time to add the pork pieces into the cooker
·
Add
2 cups of water and salt to it
·
Close
the lid and let the pork cook.
·
PS:
Do not overcook pork.
·
Cook
pork till the cooker lets out 2 whistles. Switch off soon after 2 whistles.
·
Open
the lid of the cooker after the cooker has cooled down
·
Try
to dry out the excess liquid by boiling the curry
·
You
may add the cooked tapioca to the pork curry
·
Mix
well and stir dry the rest of the liquid from the curry
·
Remove
content to a bowl
·
Serve
hot
·
